Holiday Decor Thanksgiving

Pinecone Place Cards

Hooray! Thanksgiving Break means I can finally spend time on my computer doing things I LIKE instead of writing papers and doing homework assignments… hence, the blog post.
I thought I’d share a craft I’ve done in the past for fall-time┬ámeals with family and friends. Once again, I found my inspiration on Pinterest (there are tons of different ways to steal this idea!!):

This person sawed into each pinecone to make room for the cards, but I was able to just wiggle the papers in to where they stuck without having to cut anything at all. I simply picked out acrylic paint in fall colors (red, orange, yellow), painted the tips of each pinecone, then cut out rectangle place cards out of off-white card-stock paper. We were having a Team Dinner before a football game with my Pom Team at the time, so I wrote all of my teammates names with a thin Sharpie in a fun Greek-ish font I found online (I just copy fonts all. the. time.)

I drove to a nearby park and stood out there like a goofball picking up pinecones off of the ground. Seriously, the things I do to make cute crafts. I’m not ashamed though…

I wish I would have taken pictures of the table settings with everything on them… But, a few weeks later we had family over for Thanksgiving and I made new cards for my family, this time using little letter stamps from the Michael’s dollar section. This is how sweet it looked on the table!
Happy crafting and happy Thanksgiving Break!!
